Privacy
kansō runs on your computer, inside Herdr. It has no account, no analytics and no telemetry: nothing you do in it is sent to the people who make it.
What stays on your computer
Everything kansō keeps is in ~/.config/herdr-app/data/, in files you can open or delete: the sidebar's state and the tabs you put to sleep (kanso/kanso.db), your arrangements, your hjkl dōjō rounds (kanso-dojo/dojo.db), Spend's totals, Shipped's statistics, Worktrees' list and what the memory guard records about your agents.
To show you your agents, kansō reads files your tools already write on this computer: Claude Code's and Codex's session files, for their conversation titles, their cost and to wake an agent on its conversation. It reads them where they are and never sends them anywhere.
What reaches the network, and when
- Updates. kansō asks GitHub for its newest release tag every few minutes, and downloads a release from GitHub when you update.
- The pull request panel and Shipped, only while they are shown, talk to GitHub through your own GitHub CLI (
gh). Shipped keeps a private gist in your account, "Kanso Shipped stats", with commit counts and sizes: no messages, file names or code. - Spend downloads OpenRouter's public model price list once a day.
- Share opens X, LinkedIn or Bluesky only when you press it, with the image and text you see first. The cards hold counts and sizes, never a project, a path or a conversation.
Your AI agents talk to their own providers as they always do; kansō doesn't change or read that traffic.
This website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, so GitHub receives your visit as described in GitHub's privacy statement. Its fonts come from Google Fonts, which receives a request for them. Your browser asks GitHub's public API for the star count and keeps the last one it saw in its local storage. There are no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.
